Before joining 60 Minutes, Brit produced at CBS This Morning, CBS Weekend Evening News, and CNN, where she was part of a Peabody Award–winning team. She graduated from Carnegie Mellon University's Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences, where she studied Professional Writing and Creative Writing and was named an Andrew Carnegie Scholar.
Beyond journalism, Brit serves as President of the Carnegie Mellon University Alumni Association Board and is a member of the CMU Board of Trustees and the Council on Foreign Relations.
